Dr. Tanya Teggatz received her medical doctorate (M.D.) from the Roy G. Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa in 1997 and completed a residency in family medicine at the Cedar Rapids Medical Education Foundation, affiliated with the University of Iowa, in 2000. She has been practicing family medicine in Cedar Rapids, Iowa since 2000, and is board-certified in integrative medicine.
Dr. Teggatz is an IFM Certified Practitioner (IFMCP). This is an elite group of physicians and health care professionals at the forefront of transforming the way we view health and healthcare worldwide. She has received her functional medicine training through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), the premier training platform for functional medicine practitioners.
Dr. Teggatz has had additional, intensive training in medical acupuncture through the renowned, ACCME-accredited Helms Medical Institute under the direction of Joseph Helms. She has had additional training in auricular and scalp acupuncture with The Helms Medical Institute and in cosmetic acupuncture with Dr. Martha Lucas using the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture System. In addition, she also has had additional training with Dr. Lucas for acupuncture to treat infertility and weight loss.
